Dear Future Me,

I hope that when you meet someone new, you learn about them. About who they really are- what matters to them, who matters to them, what drives them...before deciding whether you want to invite them into your life. Yes, I know you were judged on many occasions in the past for the way you looked, the way you talked, the way you dressed, the stupid and naive things that sometimes came out of your teenaged mouth.

Now, you’ve changed and evolved. You’re confident. You know what to say when. You dress well. You aren’t awkward in conversations. But that doesn’t give you the right to judge others for these reasons. You know they are not the right reasons.
